Tehran to host congress on women in the Sunna of the Prophet (S)

TEHRAN – The Education and Research Bureau of the Islamic Ideology Dissemination Organization (IIDO) will hold the first congress on women in the Sunna of Prophet Muhammad (S) in Tehran on Monday.

The congress will focus on Quranic verses about women; women and their participation in political life; women, government, and legal rulings; women’s role in managing the family economy; women’s social activities; women’s role as proselytizers; and the views of Prophet Muhammad (S) on the value of mothers and motherhood.

The congress will also examine the example of the lifestyle of the Prophet Mohammad (S), his traditions and sunna according to the Holy Quran, how he treated women, his interactions with his wives at home, and the role of a wife in his viewpoint.

In addition, the congress will address questions on the Holy Prophet (S) and women raised on the Internet and give scholarly replies and discuss stories about the life of the Prophet (S) and his interactions with women.
